Skin rejuvenation using your own blood – for fresher, firmer skin, with no foreign substances.
The PRP treatment (platelet-rich plasma) is an autologous blood therapy for skin rejuvenation. In Wolfsburg, physician Rafee El Kaddour takes a small amount of your own blood, concentrates it into a plasma rich in your body’s own growth factors, and applies it to the skin – for more freshness, firmness and a more even complexion. Combined with microneedling it is colloquially called a “Vampire Facial”.
In a PRP treatment a small amount of blood is drawn and centrifuged to concentrate the platelets and their growth factors. This platelet-rich plasma is applied to the skin via microneedling or fine injections and stimulates the skin’s own regeneration. Because it is your own blood, it is very well tolerated.
PRP works differently from fillers or botulinum toxin: it adds no volume and relaxes no muscles, but improves the quality of the skin from within. The growth factors prompt the cells to produce more collagen and elastin – so the result develops gradually over weeks.
We usually recommend a course of about three sessions a few weeks apart, then a top-up as needed. The result builds up step by step rather than all at once.
Because only your own blood is used, allergic reactions are very unlikely. We work with sterile single-use systems and brief you honestly on realistic results and limits beforehand.
First effects on freshness and skin feel appear after one to two weeks. The result continues to build over the sessions and in the following weeks, as collagen formation takes time. Results are natural and vary individually; a top-up maintains the effect.
Results are individual and can vary depending on your starting point, muscle activity and dosing. You will receive a realistic assessment for your situation in a personal consultation.
Honestly: the evidence on PRP is promising but limited. For skin rejuvenation, early randomized trials suggest improvements in skin appearance and patient satisfaction – but these are few, small studies without a standardized preparation protocol. PRP is not a filler: it adds no volume but is intended to stimulate skin quality. Results vary individually and cannot be guaranteed.
For hereditary hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) the evidence is somewhat more robust: several controlled studies show improved hair density versus placebo, while the effect on hair thickness is less clear. PRP does not replace established therapies such as minoxidil but can complement them. We advise you honestly on what is realistic in your case – and advise against it when the benefit is doubtful.
Every medical treatment carries risks. This information does not replace a personal medical consultation. The individual medical guidance on suitability, the procedure and possible side effects takes place before the treatment, at your in-person appointment.
PRP is obtained from your own blood. In Germany, autologous blood therapy is therefore a medical procedure: blood collection and preparation fall under the Transfusion Act and belong in a physician’s hands. We work exclusively with sterile single-use systems and never reuse equipment.
This is not a minor detail: documented infections linked to “vampire facials” occurred at non-medical, unhygienic facilities where equipment was reused. Performed properly and sterilely, your own plasma is by contrast very well tolerated.
The price depends on the area and the number of sessions (usually a course of about three treatments). We discuss the exact price transparently in the consultation.
View pricingIt improves skin quality from within – freshness, firmness and evenness – via your body’s own growth factors. PRP does not add volume like a filler.
Microneedling and fine injections are usually well tolerated; on request we numb the skin beforehand with a cream.

PRP improves skin quality, fillers add volume and contour, botulinum toxin relaxes muscles. The methods often complement each other.
Only your own blood is used, with sterile single-use systems and performed by a physician. Allergic reactions are therefore very unlikely.
The evidence is promising but limited. For skin rejuvenation, early randomized studies show improvements – but based on few, small trials without a standardized protocol. Results are individual, develop slowly over weeks and cannot be guaranteed. In the consultation we tell you honestly whether the method makes sense for your goal.
For hereditary hair loss the evidence is somewhat more robust than for skin: several controlled studies show improved hair density versus placebo. PRP does not replace established therapies such as minoxidil but can complement them. Whether it makes sense in your case is something we clarify individually.
The result builds over the course (usually about three sessions) and lasts for an individually varying time, generally a few months. For maintenance we recommend a top-up as needed, often once or twice a year. As PRP stimulates the body’s own regeneration, the effect is not permanent.
