Hyaluronic-acid fillers

Hyaluronic-acid fillers in Wolfsburg

Volume, contour and freshness – with body-identical hyaluronic acid, finely dosed.

At our practice in Wolfsburg, we use hyaluronic acid to model contours and replace lost volume – in the lips, cheeks, jawline, chin or to smooth folds. Hyaluronic acid is a substance the body produces naturally and that binds moisture. Physician Rafee El Kaddour works conservatively, emphasising your natural proportions rather than changing them.

What are hyaluronic-acid fillers?

In a filler treatment, a gel of stabilised hyaluronic acid is placed under the skin. It cushions folds, adds volume and defines contours such as the lips or jawline. Hyaluronic acid binds water and is slowly broken down by the body – so the result is temporary and, if needed, dissolvable.

Results & longevity

Onset & longevity

The result is visible immediately and settles once mild swelling subsides (a few days). Depending on area and product, it lasts about 6 to 18 months. Lips usually break down faster than, for example, the jawline or chin.

Results are individual and may vary. Before/after images show real treatments and are published only with the patient’s explicit consent.

Safety & guidance

Risks & side effects

Transparency is part of medical care. Here is honest information on possible risks, contraindications and aftercare.

Risks & side effects

  • Common and temporary: swelling, redness, tenderness or small bruises.
  • Occasionally: palpable nodules or irregularities – usually treatable.
  • Rare: infection, reactivation of lip herpes, allergic reaction.
  • Very rare but serious: vascular occlusion. If filler enters a vessel it can impair blood supply to the skin and – very rarely – cause tissue damage or visual disturbance; particularly relevant at the nose, tear trough and glabella.
  • Contact us immediately in case of severe or increasing pain, pale/blotchy skin discolouration or changes in vision.

When should treatment be avoided?

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Acute skin infection, inflammation or active herpes in the area
  • Known allergy to ingredients
  • Certain autoimmune conditions – please tell us
  • Tendency to pronounced scarring or keloids

Aftercare

  • Do not massage the treated area firmly for 24–48 hours (unless instructed)
  • No intense sport, sauna or tanning for the first 24 hours
  • Avoid heat and direct sun until the swelling has subsided
  • For lips: drink enough and briefly avoid make-up on the area
  • Cooling eases swelling; blood thinners and alcohol promote bruising

Safety comes first: where possible we treat with blunt micro-cannulas, use only hyaluronic-acid gels from established manufacturers with batch documentation, and keep the antidote hyaluronidase plus an emergency protocol ready for the rare event of a vascular occlusion. Hyaluronic-acid fillers can also be dissolved if needed.

Every medical treatment carries risks. This information does not replace a personal medical consultation. In our free initial consultation we assess your individual suitability, the procedure and possible side effects.
