Treating the abdomen with the fat-dissolving injection in Wolfsburg – small areas
A small fat pocket below the navel that persists despite training can sometimes be addressed subtly with the fat-dissolving injection (injection lipolysis). In Wolfsburg, physician Rafee El Kaddour treats only small, clearly defined areas on the abdomen and openly points out that efficacy on the trunk is poorly established. The method is not a weight-loss tool, does not replace liposuction and does not help with a belly caused by a lax abdominal wall.
Can the abdomen be treated with the fat-dissolving injection?
Only small, clearly defined fat pockets can be treated: an active solution is injected into the subcutaneous fat to dissolve fat cells there. A “big belly”, excess weight or a lax abdominal wall are not indications. Evidence on the trunk is limited and results are variable.
On the abdomen, an honest analysis of the cause is especially important. A protruding belly often comes from deeper visceral fat around the organs or from a lax abdominal wall – the injection reaches neither. It acts only on superficial subcutaneous fat and only in small, clearly palpable areas.
Evidence for injection lipolysis on the trunk is limited; reliable, well-supported results exist mainly for the double chin. On the abdomen, effects are subtle and vary greatly between individuals. We therefore promise no result and advise against it when surgical liposuction or a tightening procedure would be more appropriate.
Important legal note: in Germany, injection lipolysis is largely an off-label procedure. “Lemon Bottle” has no EU approval as a medicine or medical device, and there are no robust data on its safety and efficacy. We explain this fully before treatment and treat only with your informed consent.
Usually two to four sessions a few weeks apart are needed. After each session, pronounced swelling of the treated abdominal area is normal and part of how it works.
How the treatment works
- 01Free consultation and honest cause analysis (subcutaneous fat vs. abdominal wall/visceral fat)
- 02Briefing on the off-label status, the lack of EU approval and the limited trunk evidence
- 03Marking of a small, clearly defined area
- 04Several fine injections into the superficial fat deposit
- 05Duration: about 20–30 minutes per session; usually 2–4 sessions needed
Results & longevity
Pronounced swelling of the abdominal area is normal after treatment and can last several days. First changes appear after a few weeks at the earliest, and the result builds over several sessions. On the abdomen, results are subtle, vary greatly between individuals and are not comparable to liposuction.
Results are individual and may vary. Before/after images show real treatments and are published only with the patient’s explicit consent.
Risks & side effects
Risks & side effects
- Common and expected: pronounced swelling, redness, pressure and tenderness on the abdomen, often for several days.
- Occasionally: bruising, firmness or nodules that resolve over weeks.
- Rare: infection, palpable contour irregularities, temporary nerve irritation.
- Limits of the method: no effect on visceral fat or a lax abdominal wall; limited evidence and variable results; no guarantee of success.
- Please contact us with severe swelling, fever, increasing pain or signs of infection.
Aftercare
- Gentle cooling can ease the swelling on the abdomen
- Drinking plenty and moving help the body clear the material
- No intense sport, sauna or tanning for the first 24–48 hours
- Swelling, a feeling of pressure and possible firmness for several days are normal

View pricingFrequently asked questions
Will this give me a flat stomach?
No. The method only acts on small, superficial fat pockets, not on visceral fat or a lax abdominal wall. It is not weight loss.
Does the injection help a lax belly after pregnancy?
No. With loose skin or abdominal wall the injection is not suitable; other approaches make more sense here, which we discuss openly.
Is “Lemon Bottle” approved for the abdomen?
No. Injection lipolysis is largely off-label; “Lemon Bottle” has no EU approval. We brief you beforehand and treat only after consent.
How many sessions do I need on the abdomen?
Usually two to four a few weeks apart. As trunk evidence is limited, we cannot promise a particular result.
