Fat-dissolving injection (lipolysis)

Treating the thighs with the fat-dissolving injection in Wolfsburg

Small fat zones on the inner thigh or the outer “saddlebag” area can be contoured subtly with the fat-dissolving injection (injection lipolysis) when the starting point is suitable. In Wolfsburg, physician Rafee El Kaddour treats only small, clearly defined areas on the legs and tells you honestly that the effect on the thighs is on average smaller than in the face. It is not a weight-loss tool, does not replace liposuction and does not help against cellulite.

Does the fat-dissolving injection work on the thighs?

An active solution is injected into a small fat pad on the thigh to dissolve fat cells there; the body breaks the material down over weeks. Studies show only an average effect on the thighs, and evidence is limited. The method is not suitable for cellulite or larger circumferences.

On the thighs, studies on injection lipolysis observe on average a smaller effect than in the face. We are therefore especially cautious here, treat only small, clearly defined zones – such as the inner side – and promise no particular result.

An honest distinction matters: cellulite (dimpling from connective-tissue structure) and loose skin are not indications for the injection. It cannot smooth skin texture or tighten. A normal body weight and good skin tone are prerequisites; for larger “saddlebags”, surgical liposuction gives more reliable results.

Important legal note: in Germany, injection lipolysis is largely an off-label procedure. “Lemon Bottle” has no EU approval as a medicine or medical device, and there are no robust studies on its safety and efficacy. We explain this fully before treatment and treat only with your informed consent.

Usually two to four sessions a few weeks apart are needed. After each session, pronounced swelling of the treated thigh area is normal and part of how it works.

Procedure & duration

How the treatment works

  1. 01Free consultation and honest suitability check (small fat pad vs. cellulite/skin laxity)
  2. 02Briefing on the off-label status, the lack of EU approval and the limited effect on the legs
  3. 03Marking of the small, clearly defined zone
  4. 04Several fine injections into the fat deposit (grid pattern)
  5. 05Duration: about 20–30 minutes per session; usually 2–4 sessions needed
Results & longevity

Results & longevity

Pronounced swelling on the thigh is normal after treatment and can last several days. First changes appear after a few weeks at the earliest, and the result builds over several sessions. On the thighs, results are on average smaller, vary individually and are not comparable to liposuction.

Results are individual and may vary. Before/after images show real treatments and are published only with the patient’s explicit consent.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the injection help against cellulite?

No. Cellulite comes from connective-tissue structure, not from a delineable fat pad. The method cannot smooth skin texture.

Will I get slimmer thighs?

At most subtly with small zones. Studies show only an average effect on the thighs; there is no guarantee.

Is “Lemon Bottle” approved for the thighs?

No. Injection lipolysis is largely off-label; “Lemon Bottle” has no EU approval. We brief you beforehand and treat only after consent.

Would liposuction be better for “saddlebags”?

For larger areas, yes – it gives more reliable results. The injection only suits small, clearly defined zones.

How many sessions are needed on the legs?

Usually two to four a few weeks apart. As the effect is smaller here, we advise especially honestly.
