The skin on the neck and décolleté is thin, low in sebaceous glands and heavily UV-exposed – so it shows lines often earlier than the face. For the typical fine horizontal lines and “crêpiness”, a thin, fluid hyaluronic acid placed over the area in many small deposits is suitable. It does not plump up but improves the skin’s moisture and firmness.

- Common and temporary: small wheals, redness, swelling or bruises at the injection sites – a little more pronounced on the thin-skinned décolleté.
- Occasionally: palpable unevenness or small nodules, which usually smooth out by themselves or can be evened out.
- Rare: infection or allergic reaction.
- Very rare but serious: vascular occlusion. To lower the risk we treat where possible with a blunt micro-cannula; for an emergency we keep hyaluronidase and a protocol ready, and hyaluronic acid is dissolvable.
