Hyaluronic-acid fillers

Non-surgical nose reshaping with hyaluronic acid in Wolfsburg

A non-surgical nose reshaping in Wolfsburg can visually balance small irregularities – camouflaging a slight bump, gently lifting the tip or harmonising minor asymmetries. Physician Rafee El Kaddour uses very finely dosed hyaluronic acid for this. Important to note: the nose is regarded as the highest-risk area for fillers, so we counsel you especially thoroughly and honestly. The procedure does not replace surgical rhinoplasty.

What is a non-surgical nose job?

In a non-surgical nose job, hyaluronic acid is placed at a few precise points on the nose to visually balance the contour. A small bump can be “filled” and thus camouflaged, the tip slightly lifted or an asymmetry softened. Nothing is removed – the nose is not made smaller.

It sounds paradoxical, but it is the core of the method: to make a nose look straighter, volume is added, not removed. A small bump can be camouflaged by filling minimally above and below it, so the profile forms one continuous line. For genuine reduction, removing cartilage or bone, or correcting functional issues (e.g. breathing), only a surgical nose job (rhinoplasty) is suitable.

The nose is the anatomically most delicate and highest-risk area for fillers. The vessels are small, run superficially and are connected, via anastomoses, to the blood supply of the eye. If filler accidentally enters a vessel (vascular occlusion), blood supply to the skin can be impaired – in the worst, very rare case leading to tissue damage (skin necrosis) or visual disturbance. For this reason we treat especially cautiously here, with the smallest amounts and slow injection.

We only treat the nose if it has not been operated on and there is no filler from another provider at the same site whose course we do not know. Scarred or previously operated tissue alters the vascular anatomy and further increases the risk. Realistically, subtle improvements of small irregularities are achievable – not a fundamental change of the nose shape.

Procedure & duration

How the treatment works

  1. 01Thorough free consultation with honest risk counselling and a suitability check (no prior surgery, no foreign filler)
  2. 02Analysis of your profile and definition of a few precise filling points
  3. 03Very slow, finely dosed injection with small amounts – where possible with a blunt micro-cannula, continuously monitoring skin perfusion
  4. 04Immediate stop and emergency protocol at any warning sign (e.g. pale skin, severe pain, vision change)
  5. 05Duration: about 20–30 minutes
Results & longevity

Results & longevity

The result is visible immediately; once mild swelling subsides (a few days) the final contour appears. On the nose, hyaluronic acid often lasts a little longer than in mobile areas, usually about 9 to 18 months. Expect subtle corrections of small irregularities.

Results are individual and may vary. Before/after images show real treatments and are published only with the patient’s explicit consent.

Risks & side effects

Risks & side effects

  • Common and temporary: mild redness, swelling or a small bruise at the injection site.
  • Occasionally: a feeling of pressure or tightness on the nose that eases after a few days.
  • Very rare but serious – and increased at the nose: vascular occlusion. If filler enters a vessel, skin perfusion can be impaired; in very rare cases this can lead to tissue damage (skin necrosis) or – via the connection to the eye’s blood supply – to visual disturbance, up to loss of vision.
  • Warning signs may appear with a delay (hours to days): persistent or increasing pain, pale or blotchy-bluish skin discolouration, changes in vision. In these cases please contact us immediately.
  • For an emergency we keep the antidote hyaluronidase and a protocol ready, to dissolve the filler quickly and restore blood supply; hyaluronic acid is also dissolvable in principle.

Aftercare

  • Do not press, rub or massage the nose for 24 hours; do not rest glasses continuously on the treated spot
  • No intense sport, sauna or tanning for the first 24 hours
  • Avoid heat and direct sun until the swelling has subsided
  • Contact us immediately for persistent pain, pale skin or vision changes – even later on

Who is it for?

Suitable for small, clearly defined corrections: camouflaging a slight bump, gently lifting the tip or balancing a subtle asymmetry. Not suitable for making the nose smaller, for a previously operated nose, foreign filler or functional issues – here only surgical rhinoplasty makes sense.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can the nose be made smaller with filler?

No. Only volume is added to visually balance the contour. Genuine reduction or removing a bump is only possible surgically.

Why is the nose considered especially risky?

The vessels are small, superficial and linked to the eye’s blood supply. An accidental vascular occlusion can therefore, very rarely, endanger the skin or vision. That is why we treat especially carefully.

Does it replace a surgical nose job?

No. The filler approach only suits small visual corrections, not functional problems or a fundamental change of shape.

What do you do if a vessel is affected?

We stop immediately and follow an emergency protocol. The enzyme hyaluronidase dissolves the hyaluronic acid and can restore blood supply; a rapid response is decisive.

Do you treat an already operated nose?

Usually not. Previously operated or scarred tissue alters the vascular anatomy and increases the risk. We discuss this individually in the consultation.
